Where hospitality meets homeliness – and service that unites
Bar una más has been enriching Sursee’s hospitality scene since April 2024. Centrally located and full of character, it has quickly become a meeting place for regulars, newcomers and night owls alike. The Spanish name «una más» says it all: one more round, one more conversation, one more moment together.
What makes the bar so special is not just its stylish ambience or the carefully created drinks menu – it is the underlying philosophy. A philosophy that perfectly encapsulates GastroSocial’s guiding principle: Service unites. The person behind the concept is the bar’s co-owner, Alyssa Bucher, whose passion and personal presence shape its spirit.
More than just a drink
For Alyssa Bucher, service begins long before the first sip.
An open ear, a genuine smile, a perfect recommendation – these gestures may seem small, but they make a big difference. Whether someone is a regular every Friday or visiting the bar for the first time, everyone is made to feel welcome.
This personal touch lies at the heart of the una más experience. Guests are greeted with the kind of warmth the team would like to experience themselves on a night out. Many regulars are known by name – and, often, their usual drink is known too. This makes them feel right at home.
When atmosphere unites
The unifying nature of service can be felt most in those moments when everything comes together: a well-coordinated team, relaxed guests and easy conversation across the bar.
You can feel it when there's a good mood in the room – when we’re having a laugh and interacting with the guests. It creates a really great atmosphere.
Alyssa Bucher
Service not just unites the guests and staff here, but everyone behind the scenes as well. Suppliers, partners and service providers all share the same qualities: reliability, trustworthiness, and a focus on solutions. This stability creates the freedom to concentrate on what matters most: the people in the bar.
If we can rely on our partners, we can focus on our guests.

Excellence is subtle
At Bar una más, excellent service is not about grand gestures but, rather, about attentiveness and authenticity.
Excellent service is attentive, genuine and subtle.
Alyssa Bucher
It is the ability to read someone’s expression and know what they want to drink. It is having a feel for the right moment. And it is the calm that conveys a sense of professionalism. This is also made possible by the strong team spirit. The staff see themselves as a close-knit unit that enjoys what it does – and this enthusiasm rubs off on the guests.
It creates a welcoming atmosphere where people can meet and connect, one that keeps them coming back. As the team itself puts it, una más is more than just a bar – it is a place where warmth, friendliness and homeliness combine to bring people together.
Service needs strong partners
Especially in the beginning, reliability was crucial for Alyssa Bucher – not least when it came to administrative matters, which she keeps a close eye on as a qualified accountant. When she took over the bar in April 2024, she had to make many decisions on a wide range of aspects, from infrastructure to social insurance. The partnership with GastroSocial proved to be a valuable source of support in this regard. Instead of having to navigate many different pension solutions, the team was able to rely on a clear, industry-specific solution from a single source.
The benefits are also felt in her day-to-day work: a user-friendly portal, clearly defined tasks, helpful reminders – and support from a real person when needed.
You always know exactly what needs to be done. And when you call them, everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful.
Alyssa Bucher
For Bar una más, this means efficient administrative processes and more time to focus on what they do best – looking after the guests.
When service unites
At Bar una más, it becomes clear what the slogan «Service unites» really means: it is the interplay of attentiveness, trust and genuine enjoyment in forming connections – be it between team and partners, or between bar staff and guests, and whether first-time visitor or long-standing regular. Or, as the bar itself puts it:
Warmth, friendliness and a sense of homeliness – that is what we’re all about.
Alyssa Bucher
And that is precisely what unites.
